Out Now: The Inevitable Deservingness Gap
It’s finally out: my paper with Tom van der Meer using a vignette experiment to study (1) the relevance of identity compared to all other famous CARIN-criteria of welfare deservingness, (2) the extent to which favorable criteria are able to reduce the alleged deservingness gap for immigrants.
